High School Musical 3 Karaoke

I've a special place in my heart for the High School Musical franchise. I was there for a couple of days during the filming of the original film when it was being referred to as "Un-named High School Musical." Kenny Ortega and his crew of relative unknowns seemed happy to be working, but clearly oblivious of the massive hit they were creating.

Now, High School Musical is a Disney juggernaut who could take on anyone, perhaps even the titan known as Hannah Montana. It's no surprise to see HSM games, but it is nice to see that a solid developer, Zoƫ Mode, is producing this one.

Disney Sing It: High School Musical 3: Senior Year is the only karaoke game that features 10 songs from the film “High School Musical 3: Senior Year” and several from the first two “High School Musical” movies. Perhaps memorable is the wrong word. If my niece and her friends are any indication, then "infectious" may be more appropriate.

“Whether you are new to the scene or have been following the excitement at East High from day one, ‘Disney Sing It: High School Musical 3: Senior Year’ will have you ready to get up and join the fun from the very first note,” said Craig Relyea, senior vice president of global marketing, Disney Interactive Studios. “Packed with 25 songs from all three ‘High School Musical’ films, this is the must-have video game for all true fans.”

While I may be unsure as to what separates fake from true HSM fans, I do know that the game has plenty of options for folks in either category. Disney Sing It: High School Musical 3: Senior Year allows teams of up to eight people to sing along with and compete on High School Musical videos. All of the songs will be available in varying difficulties for single and multiplayer modes.

Disney Sing It: High School Musical 3: Senior Year is going to be available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3 and the Wii. It's scheduled for a February 17 release date. And will carry an E for Everyone ESRB rating. It will come as a standalone game for those who already have a microphone and as a bundle with one made by Logitech.

The following statements are from the publisher:
