Crash Bandicoot 2 for the PS1 is the platforming sequel to Naughty Dog's original Australian marsupial hit. In the game, you'll travel through time as you battle your arch-nemesis, the evil brainiac, Cortex. You'll run through jungles, explore ice worlds and swim to safety in this wild action-adventure game for the PS1.
Boss Battles
The highlight of Crash Bandicoot 2 is the well-imagined boss battles, often against enemies on a scale much larger than the tiny Crash. If you want to replay any battle you've been in, go to the platform in the warp room and stand still. Press all four of the shoulder buttons ("L1," "L2," "R1" and "R2") and when Crash points to the sky, press "Triangle" and "Up". You'll now have the option to replay any boss battle.
Superpowers
Aku Aku Masks are the most potent items in the game, giving Crash Bandicoot the power to plow through enemies and walk across fire without taking any damage. In order to get one, let Crash die and hold "Up" and "Circle" until Crash starts to move. Let go of "Up" and "Circle" as soon as Crash loses his second life, and you'll be given an Aku Aku Mask.
Exploit the Polar Bear
Exploit this glitch to give Crash as many lives as you please, which will make winning your battle against Cortex much easier. Approach the polar bear in the game's second level. Jump on his head, and continue jumping well beyond what seems acceptable. After a while, the polar bear will disappear and in his place will be 20 lives. You can repeat this as many times as you'd like.
