How to complete a quest in Oblivion using cheat codes. This is useful if there is a glitch in the game or for any reason you cannot complete the current quest.
First, use the 'qst' cheat code in the console to get the Quest ID. Note the Quest ID.
Next, use the 'completequest [insertquestid]' code to manually complete the quest.
The above method only sets the quest as complete, without actually completing it. Read further below to see the instruction on using the SetStage code to actually complete the quest successfully.
For example, if you're having trouble completing the Boots of Springheel Jak quest, given to you by the Gray Fox, you would do the following.
Open the console (by pressing the tilde key) and type in the code qst and press enter.
Note the quest code, in this case it is TG10Boots.
Open the console again and type in completequest TG10Boots and press enter.
Note: The above method will set the quest into the completed quest list, but it won't actually 'complete' the quest for you. In order to complete the quest correctly do the following.
Open the console and type in ShowQuestTargets, this will list the Quest IDs for completion. Note them down. In this case, it should be the same.
Now, open the console again and type in the code SetStage TG10Boots 100 and press enter.
This can be used for any quest. The code format is as follows.
SetStage [questid] [100 or 200]
(100 would be successful completion, 200 is incomplete)You're done!
All examples on this page that use the characters [ and ] are only for illustration purposes, they are not entered into the console.
Do not use the 'caqs' code as this will complete all quests in the game, without giving any titles for guild factions.
