Nintendo had already confirmed that its new Wii U console would be launching next year but now Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo of America's President has confirmed that it'll release some time after April.
While demoing the Wii U on the Jimmy Fallon talk show in the US over the weekend, Fils-Aime said, "This is not going to come out for kind of a year - it'll be 2012, after April."
A SEGA exec recently let slip that Nintendo has a spring/summer launch in mind for the Wii U, so don't be at all surprised if the new console ends up coming out around about this time next year.
